If you've got dry skin, my Oatmeal Bath Recipe and cheesy commentary will help.
Read on, oh dry one.
Yesterday I was chatting on the phone with an old friend of mine, from my little hometown of Manhattan, Illinois, about how freakishly dry the air is in San Diego.
I explained how the air is a lot less humid than what we experienced growing up. (No big hair days. Yes!)
I could only guess what she was thinking, "I'll take dry alligator skin if that means I can enjoy 360 days of sunshine." I don't think she understood my dilemma...
I find myself constantly applying body butter, using aloe body wash, and dry brushing my skin to make it feel "normal" aka moisturized.
Strange question...Do you also embarrassingly scratch your dry thighs when you're in public? I'm trying really hard to break that weird habit. *cheeks turning red*
If you're also suffering from dry skin, here's a simple oatmeal bath soak. It's been a life saver for my skin, and it's super easy to make.
This recipe is also a natural treatment for psoriasis and eczema.
You'll be able to find the ingredients at your local health food store:
Oatmeal Bath Soak
2 cups organic old fashioned oats
5 drops of therapeutic grade lavender essential oil
1 can of coconut milk
4 tbsp aloe vera gel
Did you try it? I'd love to know if my recipe helped you. Please leave a comment below.
Have a moisturizing week!
